Texas soap drama series, also known as “Another World: Texas” and later Texas: The New Generation was created by John William Corrington, Joyce Corrington and Paul Raunch was a spin-off from long-running soap opera “Another World”, a unique in that it was the first soap
opera to air hour-long episodes from it's inception.
The series follows Iris Cory Carrington and her story from previous love & life, she'd loved and lost a young man named Alex Wheeler back in Bay City, they met in Houston Texas, rediscovered each other continuing their stormy romance ending up jealous Eliot Carrington shot the groom on Alex & Iris' nuptial ceremony and revealing the truth behind. The series now centered around the daily lives of the wealthy Wheelers and Bellmans and the middle-class Marshalls and their ranching and oil interests.
